Role: H.S.E Officer
Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for monitoring and making regular site inspections to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.

  2. Plan safe working practices across the facilities and making necessary changes

  3. Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation

  4. Ensure that equipment are installed correctly/safely across the facilities.

  5. Record and report all incidents observed.

  6. Conduct investigations and make recommendations following accidents/incidents, near misses or any HSE complaint.

  7. Undertake risk assessments and ensure adherence to preventive measures

  8. Identify potential hazards

  9. Determine and advise ways of reducing risks

  10. Facilitate health and safety meetings for the Property team and contractors on-site

  11. Guard against hazardous substances across the facilities.

  12. Compile the health and safety statistics across the facilities

  13. Keep up-to-date health and safety guidelines and procedure with developments within the facilities.

  14. Review internal health and safety policies/strategies and advise management accordingly

  15. Draw up safe operational procedures across the facilities

  16. Establish safety standards and policies as needed.

  17. Participate in planning meetings to identify any health and safety concerns inherent in the operations daily work-plan

  18. Undertake all other tasks or duties assigned from time to time by your line manager as may be required to meet the needs of the Group.


Requirement:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a health, safety, or environmental field of study
  • Three years and above experience in health and safety.
  • HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., OSHA/EPA) and procedures.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically.

Reporting Line: Head, Property Development (Direct line).
